Abstract: This paper traces how this rivalry has molded the relationship between India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan through time. It analyzes the history of Indo-Pakistani completion in Afghanistan, particularly emphasizing how both have sought to influence Afghan politics and security. The paper further analyses India’s role in Afghanistan today especially since the Taliban’s fall and its impact on Pakistan’s national security. Through analysis of the current situation, this paper highlights how India and Pakistan’s rivalry in Afghanistan determines the region’s stability. It also discusses the influence this competition might bring global peace and security. And will also point out how India’s strategic influence plays a major role in determining the future of Afghanistan-Pakistan relations. It seeks to show how the rivalry between India and Pakistan in Afghanistan affects the border regional and international dynamic.
