Abstract:: Laxman Satpathy emerged as a prominent leader in the forefront of the Sonepur
Prajamandal movement. Born and raised in the rural village of Kalapathar in Birmaharajpur
tehsil, Subarnapur district, he devoted his life to a tireless fight against the oppressive rule of
the Sonepur king. His unwavering dedication has etched a lasting impression in the collective
memory of the people. This paper aims to underscore the significant contribution of Laxman
Satpathy in the Prajamandal movement of Sonepur, Odisha.
