Abstract::Abstract::In the rapidly evolving job market, distance learning has emerged as a key enabler
of skill development and employability. This study examines the role of Young India Skill
University (YISU) in Telangana in enhancing employability through its distance learning
programs. The research explores how YISU’s curriculum, industry collaborations, and
technology-driven pedagogy have contributed to equipping students with relevant skills,
particularly in emerging sectors. By analyzing enrollment trends, job placement data, and
student feedback, this case study assesses the effectiveness of YISU’s initiatives in bridging
the skill gap. Findings indicate that YISU’s flexible learning models have significantly
benefited working professionals, rural learners, and marginalized communities, fostering
greater inclusion in the workforce. The study highlights policy implications and
recommendations for expanding distance learning to maximize employability outcomes in
Telangana
